8 months and on the move!
Hi there.
Since there have been no posts for such a long time I can't even to begin to cover all that is happened in ours lives...however, in short, new parenthood about sums it up. We are scrambling around trying to figure out this new life of ours and days slip by like water through our fingers and before we've had time to process what's happening we've already moved on to a new stage. It's fascinating, exciting and totally blissful.
Brody just figured out how to drag himself to get going and I'm sure I'll be running around after him in no time. He is fully of haste and energy and adorable slack jaw amazement. Besides being in the grips of a teething spell at the moment he is sleeping better than ever and is generally a happy little clam. He passes out sprawled on his back with both arms outstretched dreaming of nursing and chasing the kitty. He is generally much like a little puppy -- loves his head being rubbed and all -- when he isn't busy being a dinosaur and devouring all he seems, especially books, with all sorts of cooing screeches!
Santa Barbara is good to us all. We have such a beautiful home and the weather has been so nice that we've had lots of out door time in our great backyard. We just got home from a trip to the Bay Area to visit with family and get some tattoo work done. Brody played with his 5 months old cousin Taz. They had a nice to trip to the park with Brody's Great Grandma Edna and Great Aunt Martie (Taz's mom). A lovely trip, but it made us realize how much warmer it is down here in Santa Barbara!
With hands full of baby most of the day it's been hard to keep in touch, but maybe with this new sleeping thing Brody is exploring I'll have more time for my computer life :)
